Resilient flooring materials are ideal for many business environments, and Corporate Floors can supply and install a wide range of such products. These include VCT and sheet vinyl, base, linoleum and rubber floors, along with other products.
Each of these flooring products demonstrate different strengths and features but, what they have in common is, each provides a cushioning effect underfoot and, therefore, contributes to ergonomic comfort for your employees.
Vinyl flooring is available as vinyl composition tile (VCT) and sheet vinyl, and a critical element of its performance, no matter which you choose, is the thickness of its wearlayer. As you would expect, the thicker the wearlayer, the higher the cost. But, on the plus side, the thicker the wearlayer, the longer the floor will last and look fresh and new.
Although both sheet and tiles are manufactured in a wide range of colors, VCT allows for replacement of those individual tiles that have worn out prematurely or been damaged, minimizing long-term materials costs.
Rubber has been shown to be one of the most cost-efficient materials for commercial flooring. It’s true that it is a relatively expensive flooring material and requires an experienced team of installers for best performance. But, when evaluated in terms of its durability, easy maintenance requirements, good wear resistance and overall lifecycle, it really is a low-cost alternative to many other flooring options over the long term. Moreover, rubber flooring is fire code compliant, dent and stain-resistant, slip resistant and sound absorptive/sound deadening.
Linoleum has been around for decades (remember it in your grandmother’s kitchen?), but recent improvements in its production, installation and maintainability—and how it performs in commercial and industrial environments—have been significant, resulting in a renewal of its popularity. It’s relatively easy to maintain, has inherent coloration and good durability, and a lengthy lifecycle.
All these resilient materials offer good flooring options for many commercial environments. If you’ve got questions on which is right for your workspace, click here to contact one of our Product Specialists or call us at 817-329-7100. |
